The Access to Heaven.

John 5:24

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

We knew that by believing in Jesus only we can have an eternal life (Jn 3:16) and some other places in the Scriptures. This statement  of Jesus does not contradict at all when He said "believes him who sent me has eternal life" which obviously referring to the Father.

Jesus was helping His listeners to understand that He is "equal" to the Father. Notice He said" whoever hears my word". He was referring to Himself as the "Word of God" if we look back John 1:1;14. Listening to His word simply means listening to Him. As we he was speaking to the Jewish leaders who disagreed with Him.

In John 14:1 Jesus said " “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me". See, believing God means believing Jesus. We see here the equality of Jesus to the Father.

These are one of the things that the Jewish leaders didn't understand. That only in Jesus we can have access to the Father. And even today there are people who does not understand the works of Jesus on the cross of our salvation. And as well His deity.

People celebrates Christmas every year still think Jesus was still on a manger. They don't understand He crucified on the cross for our sins so we can have access to the Father.

Although we cannot find the word Christmas in the Bible but let's celebrate this month because we have a savior who is God in nature but became flesh, born through a virgin birth, died on the cross for our salvation and now sit at the right hand of the Father.

The Life We Ought To Be.

If there is one thing that you love most in you life, what is it? John 5:13-15 The verses below was about the invalid man for 38-years  whom Jesus healed. It was Jesus who offered the healing for him.  13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there. 14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well. In all the things in the world. It was the "sin" that Jesus was telling him to stop. Jesus said to him "... Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” Does it mean he's gonna be invalid or disable again? I don't think so. This means that sin in our lives does not have a good result. Jesus was telling him that if he keeps on sinning it's going to ruin his spiritual life. See friends, Jesus was not only helpin...

What are your New Year's resolution?

I'm pretty sure we have New Year's resolution in our bucket list for the year 2018. We've been accustomed to have one. But are we going to really follow all of them? It's been common for most us to make a list of our New Year's resolution but we cannot deny the fact that we failed to follow them.  In these verses below, Paul explained the reason why we all fail.   “There is no one righteous, not even one;  there is no one who understands;  there is no one who seeks God.  All have turned away, they have together become worthless;  there is no one who does good, not even one.”  Romans 3:10-12. These verses simply means regardless of what religion you have or you belongs to. You are dead in the eyes of God. There are no exceptions.  Now, since there is no one is righteous that means no one can see God. That's why Christ died for our sins so we'll have access to God through Him. He is only perfect man who is God by nature who...

The Son of Man

John 5: 27   And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.   Here we see Jesus relationship with the Father. How intimate it is that the Father gave him the authority to judge.  But what does "Son of Man" mean? This does not mean that Jesus was son of Joseph the husband of Mary who conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Let's read the book of   Daniel 7: 13-14  to help us understand why Jesus has this title being the "Son of Man". 13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. Jesus was obviously fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel when he said in...
