The phrase/s "Fake News"  is one of the trending topics we can see on TV, read on the internet and even in the print media. These phrase/s are common especially in the government. If there's a particular issue (s) thrown to them especially if it is not true. They would call it a "fake news". Let's read a story of Jesus when He went up to Jerusalem to attend a Jewish Passover. 13  When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover,  Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Passover   (Pesach in Hebrew) is one of the most important religious festivals for the Jews. Now, why this is an important festival for them? Because this is a remembrance of God's faithfulness of how they were saved from the Egyptian captivity. Through Moses, God delivers them from Egypt and set them free. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.  We don't know who are the bride and the groom but they probably knew Jesus and his disciples because they were invited. Mary was there too. So we can tell, they knew each other. But we have to take note that the disciples here are not just twelve. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6. Way, Truth, Life. Jesus promised His disciples that He is going to the Father to prepare a place for them. And He'll come back and take them with Him. In the context, one of His disciples named Thomas asked by saying “ Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “ I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Take note that Jesus is not only saying He is the way but He also said He is the truth and the life. In other words, He provided not just the answer of Thomas but He added an additional information about Himself to his disciplines. Jesus was simply helping his disciples to understand that as He is the way to the truth and to eternal life. And He is the complete answer to eternity. He is everything. A friend of mine quiets from her job. Her reason was, SHE'S NO LONGER HAPPY. I agree that happiness is difficult to acquire unless you are contented of what you have. Contentment has been a struggle to anyone. Because we always want more. We are not contented of what we have. We are deceived by our selfish desire. Perhaps, a good example is the technology, a mobile phone in specific. Even if we know our mobile still working fine although it's an old model but because we want the latest model. We tend to quickly decide to get one. We even don't think if we have still money left for our basic needs. More importantly, we don't seek God if we need to get a latest mobile phone. He showed compassion to him and embraced him with his loving arms. That's the heart of a loving father. That's also our Father in Heaven. He is always compassionate and full of mercy. If we humble and draw near to Him, He will draw near to us and embrace us and more importantly He will forgive and cleanse our sins. I guess of all us will agree that it's not easy to lost a friend. Especially if your friend is always at your side in times of hardship. But more importantly, the true value of friendship is really there, if both of you are on helping hands. Let's take a look the story of friendship of Jesus and the siblings Lazarus, Mary and Martha. We don't know how their friendship has started. But when Jesus learned that Lazarus was sick. He then responded to go to his place even if his life was threatened. We see how Jesus was a true friend by risking his life for the sake of his friend. When he got there he saw Mary and Martha weeping, even the people around. What is prayer to you? S urely you have read a lot of books about prayer or your pastor or deacon had taught it many times in church. But what is this to you personally? To me, prayer is always a privilege because as I sinner by nature I should be destined to hell. But because of God's unconditional love and immeasurable grace. He gave a chance to put my personal trust to His one and only Son Jesus and by believing in Him. I am now saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). Since prayer is a privilege, I should take advantage to set a time to pray. Although I could pray anytime but it's always good to set a time where I can communicate with God. I call it a quality time . Jesus himself set an example when he prayed alone without his disciples (Luke 5:16). Jesus looked for a solemn place where there was no any disturbances to pray to the Father.  It's always a humbling experience to pray.
