More than obedience

John 5: 19 - More Than Obedience.

19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

Surely no doubt Jesus submission to the Father is immeasurable. His obedience is indeed a perfect example to all of us. I am truly humbled to have Jesus in my heart and by His grace he captured me to be part of His never ending Kingdom.

This is in response to the Jewish leaders who began to persecute Him because He heals at the day of Sabbath and making Himself equal to God. It was amazing how Jesus demonstrate his authority by telling them it was the Father whom he obeyed. Yet he also tell them the very reason is that "whatever the Father does the Son also does". In other words He and the Father does not contradict but in one purpose and power.

Obviously, when the Jewish leaders heard these statements of Jesus, it does not make them happy. But Jesus started to help them realized who He was. That He has the authority to heal people because He himself is God.

It's more than obedience to the Father he does these things. He was showing to the people around Him not only to the Jewish leaders but to all of us that He has all the power and authority to do whatever He does. Yet He choose to denied His deity for the sake of us. Try to imagine if Jesus didn't become human. Who's gonna die for our sins?

The Apostle Paul was true in Philippians 2:5-11 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death-- even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Therefore if you want to see an example of being the humblest man on earth. He never gave up to the point of death on the cross for our salvation. Looking at His life is the key for all christians to sustain serving Him until the last breath. He is the Finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2).

A Sad Christmas!

A movie called "Escape Room" is about a group friends who were trapped in an unknown place. They find different ways to figure out to escape but were not able to and led most of them to death. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. 28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. 30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me . John 5: 27-30 - A Sad Christmas! We were also trapped by our sins and transgressions. And tried our best through good works so we can go to heaven. And that's the reason we give money to the poor or the needy to think it would help us getting there. But we are wrong.  Christmas is not just the birth of Jesus, it's also His dea...
