John 1:29-34 Jesus-God's Chosen One as testified by John the Baptist.

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
  • A bold proclamation from John the Baptist about Jesus and who He was.
  • The Jews in the Old Testament slaughtered a blameless lamb without defect and offer it to the template through a high priest for the cleansing of their sins.
  • So they're so familiar when John said ..."Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. However, they probably amazed why he said that statement.
  • We should be like John as christians; we should not be ashamed to preach who Jesus is and what He can do to our sins.
  • It's only through Jesus we can be forgiven and to inherit the eternal life. We just need put our trust in Him alone and to one else. His death on the cross has deliver us from condemnation.

30This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’
  • The Bible interprets itself  as this was already mentioned in the previous verse15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ ”)
  • ...He was before me" obviously John was saying Jesus deity as He was God in the beginning.
31 I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel.”
  • John was never meet Jesus before until he baptized him.
  • Water's baptism cannot saved us. But it's God wants us to do as public confession that we surrendered our life to Him.
32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.
  • The second person of the trinity. Noticed John "...the Spirit.." not "a".
  • This is glorious when John personally witnessed the Spirit of God came down from heaven remain on Jesus.
33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
  • John's mission was to baptized the people with water.
  • Jesus was to baptized with the Holy Spirit. This was done in the Book of Acts 2 when the Jesus apostles and disciples were baptized with the Holy Spirit to bring the good news to all mankind.
34 I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”
  • John the baptist was the first reliable witness as he saw Jesus  Chose One.
  • God's Chosen  One" - John was implying that Jesus was the Savior of the Jews and later to the Gentiles.

The Life We Ought To Be.

If there is one thing that you love most in you life, what is it? John 5:13-15 The verses below was about the invalid man for 38-years  whom Jesus healed. It was Jesus who offered the healing for him.  13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there. 14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well. In all the things in the world. It was the "sin" that Jesus was telling him to stop. Jesus said to him "... Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” Does it mean he's gonna be invalid or disable again? I don't think so. This means that sin in our lives does not have a good result. Jesus was telling him that if he keeps on sinning it's going to ruin his spiritual life. See friends, Jesus was not only helpin...

What are your New Year's resolution?

I'm pretty sure we have New Year's resolution in our bucket list for the year 2018. We've been accustomed to have one. But are we going to really follow all of them? It's been common for most us to make a list of our New Year's resolution but we cannot deny the fact that we failed to follow them.  In these verses below, Paul explained the reason why we all fail.   “There is no one righteous, not even one;  there is no one who understands;  there is no one who seeks God.  All have turned away, they have together become worthless;  there is no one who does good, not even one.”  Romans 3:10-12. These verses simply means regardless of what religion you have or you belongs to. You are dead in the eyes of God. There are no exceptions.  Now, since there is no one is righteous that means no one can see God. That's why Christ died for our sins so we'll have access to God through Him. He is only perfect man who is God by nature who...

The Son of Man

John 5: 27   And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.   Here we see Jesus relationship with the Father. How intimate it is that the Father gave him the authority to judge.  But what does "Son of Man" mean? This does not mean that Jesus was son of Joseph the husband of Mary who conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Let's read the book of   Daniel 7: 13-14  to help us understand why Jesus has this title being the "Son of Man". 13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. Jesus was obviously fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel when he said in...
