A Sad Christmas!

A movie called "Escape Room" is about a group friends who were trapped in an unknown place. They find different ways to figure out to escape but were not able to and led most of them to death.
27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.
28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice
29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.
30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
John 5: 27-30 - A Sad Christmas!

We were also trapped by our sins and transgressions. And tried our best through good works so we can go to heaven. And that's the reason we give money to the poor or the needy to think it would help us getting there. But we are wrong.

Christmas is not just the birth of Jesus, it's also His death on the cross to let us escape from our sins. But we have to remember He didn't remain dead. He rose again on the third day to give us an eternal hope.

We all wish a merry and happy Christmas to our loved ones. But that's only an earthly happiness and we only wish them a happy lives on Christmas day. That's what most people do. We are all guilty of that.

Do we wish them a happy eternal life? But how can we have a happy eternal life? Through good works like giving money to charity? Through membership of a religion? No, not all.

A happy eternal life can be found in Jesus alone. As John 3:16 says For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".

Friends, let's go to Jesus for in Him there is always an assurance of a happy life in eternity. We may have a happy or merry Christmas on earth but if we don't have Jesus in our lives. We will be tormented in Hell of eternity. As He gonna judge us rightly according to what we have done.

Apart from Christ our good works are nothing. Though good works are good but these are not to bring us to heaven. For good works are just filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

Notice, what He said in verse 28-29. He is telling us not to be amazed. Meaning we have to know these facts. That He will judge us soon.

Friends, are you sure we have a happy Christmas? In our earthly mindset we have but what about in eternity? Are you sure you will go to Heaven through good works by giving money to the poor? By giving tithes in the Church?

Yes Jesus came but did we accept and have fully surrender our lives to Him as our Savior and Lord? If not, come to Him today by admitting you are a sinner and needs Him as your Savior and Lord. Let Him rule into your hearts and will.

It's gonna be a Sad Christmas if your soul will be tormented in Hell if you will reject Jesus as your Savior and Lord! Believe Jesus today, not later not tomorrow but today!

The Son of Man

John 5: 27   And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.   Here we see Jesus relationship with the Father. How intimate it is that the Father gave him the authority to judge.  But what does "Son of Man" mean? This does not mean that Jesus was son of Joseph the husband of Mary who conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Let's read the book of   Daniel 7: 13-14  to help us understand why Jesus has this title being the "Son of Man". 13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. Jesus was obviously fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel when he said in...

The Road.

John 5:23 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.  Jesus statement became more not acceptable to the ears of Jewish leaders this time. Notice, He said "all may honor the Son". Not some. Therefore each and everyone must give honor to Him.  John in his little book in First John make it more dangerous. He used the word "deny" which has the same verb meaning with  disagree, renounce, decline even refuse or reject.  1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:  (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also . (KJV). But you see, how God gives us the chance? Both Jesus and John didn't stop there. They still gives options that those who honors and acknowledges the Son does the same to the Father. There is no bypass at all. Must go through Jesus always.  Let's back up a little of what John has said "whoe...

Who are the Pharisees?

John 5: 16-18 16   So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him.  17   In his defense Jesus said to them,  “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.”   18   For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.  It's amazing to know that God has always and would not stop working in my life. As I still have things in life that I need God's mercy to change and mold me. In spite of being not perfect, yet I have a perfect and loving God who always there for me. Lift me up in times of down and sad moments. Every single day, God through His word speaks to me and with His Holy Spirit who convicts and leads me to obey His word. I can't go on serving Him without His grace.  The powerful response of Jesus in verse 17 destructed ...
