The Life We Ought To Be.

If there is one thing that you love most in you life, what is it?

John 5:13-15

The verses below was about the invalid man for 38-years  whom Jesus healed. It was Jesus who offered the healing for him.

13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.
14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well.

In all the things in the world. It was the "sin" that Jesus was telling him to stop. Jesus said to him "...Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”

Does it mean he's gonna be invalid or disable again? I don't think so. This means that sin in our lives does not have a good result. Jesus was telling him that if he keeps on sinning it's going to ruin his spiritual life.

See friends, Jesus was not only helping him with the physical aspect but more importantly the spiritual aspect of his life.

Jesus was telling him, "See, you are well again in other words he was healed physically but how's your spiritual life? Same thing with us friends. We may look good outwardly, we eat good foods, live with good friends and family. But how's our spiritual life? are we doing good with it?

The worse thing that's gonna happen to us if we kept on sinning or practicing the things that God hates, is that, it's gonna affect our relationship with Him. We will become dry spiritually. Chances are we don't want to pray and read God's word anymore because deep inside is so dry. When we go to church we cannot anymore even greet the brethren because of the spiritual dryness we have inside.

Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”. Jesus didn't specifically mention what type of sin because all sins regardless of what it is; sin is always not pleasing to God and it breaks His heart. And sin will always lead us to destruction. And it will ruin our relationship with God. Look what happened to David? What was the effect of sin he committed to Bathsheba? Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galations 6:7-8

The wages of sin is death as Paul says in Romans 6:23. It hides us to God in Isaiah 59:2. Does that mean though we cannot commit mistakes because we only deceives ourselves as per 1 John 1:8.

But living in sin is completely different. That means sin is already your lifestyle. Yes we commit mistakes but what's our attitude towards it? Are we repenting and humble before God and ask His forgiveness? Or are we doing it over and over again? That's what it means of living in sin if we are doing it over and over again.

Paul's encouragement to the Colossians in the 3rd Chapter from verses 5-10  is to put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.  Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.  But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

To put to death meaning not to live nor practice it again. And to put on the new self meaning the life when we received Christ. That's how we suppose to live my friends. That must be our lifestyle. Let's live in a godly way of life for Jesus is coming soon!

A Sad Christmas!

A movie called "Escape Room" is about a group friends who were trapped in an unknown place. They find different ways to figure out to escape but were not able to and led most of them to death. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. 28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. 30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me . John 5: 27-30 - A Sad Christmas! We were also trapped by our sins and transgressions. And tried our best through good works so we can go to heaven. And that's the reason we give money to the poor or the needy to think it would help us getting there. But we are wrong.  Christmas is not just the birth of Jesus, it's also His dea...
