The Road.


John 5:23

23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. 

Jesus statement became more not acceptable to the ears of Jewish leaders this time. Notice, He said "all may honor the Son". Not some. Therefore each and everyone must give honor to Him. 

John in his little book in First John make it more dangerous. He used the word "deny" which has the same verb meaning with disagree, renounce, decline even refuse or reject. 

1 John 2:23
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (KJV).

But you see, how God gives us the chance? Both Jesus and John didn't stop there. They still gives options that those who honors and acknowledges the Son does the same to the Father. There is no bypass at all. Must go through Jesus always. 

Let's back up a little of what John has said "whoever denies the Son". See, even before during Jesus time on earth. There were people or religious group had already denied Him. In this generation, you can still see out there who are these people or religious as they call it that cannot accept that Jesus is God. 

These people does not have the idea how dangerous of rejecting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The bible was so clear " those who denies Him, denies the Father also" meaning we must go through Jesus always. There is no shortcut or bypass. Jesus is the only road to the Father. (John 14:6).

Personal Devotions - Book of John 1: 1-8 - Jesus was the Word who became flesh but God and was with God in the beginning.

John 1:  1   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The word " beginning " refers back to the creation of the world in Gen 1:1 where it says " God created the heavens and earth. The Word was there during the creation of the world. And notice it's  capital  "W".  ... the Word was with God. There are two persons obviously here. ...the Word was God. Who is the Word? Answer: He is God in the beginning. Let's connect this to verse 14 where it says "   The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth". The Word in verse 1 that was with God and God himself is the same Word who became flesh or human.   ...made his dwelling among us simply means the Word  have lived on earth as a full human. ...his glory, the glory of the one and only Son. John 1: 43- 51 "How do you response when Jesus tells you "Follow Me".? 43  The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip,  he said to him,  “Follow me.” If Jesus would tells you today, Follow Me? Would you follow Him? Philip followed Jesus without doubt and hesitation. To follow me Jesus is to have personal relationship with Him by trusting Him only as your Lord and Savior. To follow Him, is a day-to-day thing.
